Since 2014, EMW has been collaborating with the government and local partners to improve rural water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in Laos. With six Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed with the Department of Water Supply (DWS) under the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) and the Center of Water Supply and Environmental Health (CWSEH) under the Ministry of Health (MoH), our WASH program operates across seven provinces: Sekong, Champasack, Luang Namtha, Xayabury, LaungPrabang, Vientiane, and Vientiane Capital. To date, EMW has built 16 water supply systems, 5,550hygienic latrines, and benefited over 89,000 people.
